Top of the Ozarks RC&D Active Projects:

• A website which was developed for the Missouri Ozarks Regional Explorers.  This project was a joint effort of the Top of the Ozarks RC&D and Big Springs RC&D.  This was an effort to develop the tourism potential of a 15 county area, in a sustainable manner, with a focus on our natural resources. •  A Bird Watching Brochure/Map was produced for the Missouri Ozarks Regional Explorers.  If you would like to request a copy contact totorcd@hotmail.com  Funded by the National Park Service.

• Advanced Grazier Support: Meeting support is provided to a group of landowners that have mastered the basics of grazing management, and are interested in fine-tuning their operation. 

• Mapping by GIS equipment sinkholes located in the Jack's Fork Watershed.  Funding through EPA.

• Forestry Articles are being published in area newspaper with a circulation of approximately 22,000.  You can view the articles after publication by clicking here.

• Richard Stricklin, Chair of the Forestry Committee for Top of the Ozarks RC&D, received the 2005 BASF Outstanding Achievements in Sustainable Forestry Award.  He received his award during the National Tree Farmer Convention held in Springfield, Mass.

• Top of the Ozarks RC&D Council has received the "Circle of Diamonds" designation from the National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils.
