These workshops will be helpful to anyone who wants or needs to raise funds
to help their city, business, school, college, university, soil and water
district, not-for-profit organization or other group. You will leave these
workshops with new fundraising skills and the know-how to apply these skills to
the needs of your organization.
Participants are encouraged to attend all three grant writing sessions as this
will enable you to complete each step needed for a successful project grant
proposal.
This is casual, hands-on, inspiring learning experience.
| Grant Writing I | This three day workshop will provide the participant with information
about foundations and corporations; Who they give to and why; The process of
a successful fundraising campaign; How to contact a foundation and submit a
proposal; Determining your fundability through effective prospecting and;
What makes a successful grant seeker. There are two sessions of Granting Writing I available. |

| Grant Writing II | The Grant Writing Session focuses on in-depth research, proposal
structure and initial contact with foundations. Mock interviews will be
conducted and actual telephone contacts will be made. Participants should come to this session with a project proposal or proposal idea. A field trip to the Clearinghouse for Mid-Continent Foundations in Kansas City, MO may also be part of the training. The Clearinghouse is a collection site for the Foundation Directory research books. |

| Grant Writing III | Grant Writing III focuses on the total development of the proposal with
emphasis on the budget and evaluation components. These are considered to be
the most critical parts of the proposal. The participant will graduate with a certificate and a complete proposal. |

About the Presenter
Dr. Don Udell is currently president of Udell Consulting, Inc., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He received his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from the University of Arizona and his Doctorate from Arizona State University. He has been a graduate faculty member of both the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the University of Oklahoma, where he was honored as faculty member of the year.
Dr. Udell has authored and published numerous articles and monographs. He has written and received funds for and directed over 30 federal, state and philanthropic grants. He has also conducted numerous research and evaluation programs, including a highly acclaimed research project involving the Oklahoma penal system.
Dr. Udell conducts Grant Writing Workshops all over the United States including the Virgin Islands. He has conducted workshops for the Prairie Rose RC&D since 1991.
