The mission of the Osage Valley RC&D is to provide an avenue for people to work
together to develop and carry out action oriented plans for the improvement of
the social, economic, and natural environments of the Osage.
To accomplish this mission the council has
developed partnerships with local, state, and national organizations, groups,
and agencies. The Council has established a three year action oriented plan to
address four broad areas of concern.

Objective A: The economy of the area will be opened up to new types of employment opportunities in technology development, tourism, home-based businesses and others. |

Objective B: The Osage Valley RC&D area will become a producer of a diverse mix of agricultural, long term sustainable commodities, while remaining environmentally sensitive. |

Objective C: All residents of the area will have access to needed human services, such as adequate and safe water supplies, rural fire protection, and adequate health care. |
|
Objective D: The residents of the area will be trained for their choice of available career fields and be able to develop into effective community leaders. |
