August 2 - 6, 2004 was family week at the RC&D/SWCD/NRCS offices. Staff can bring a family member into work with them to educate their family members on their job. Events can include working in the office, going out in the field to show projects and some fun activities throughout the day.
Lauren Mustain, niece of employee Tiffany Mustain, spent the morning helping with computer work in the office. After a good meal Lauren was ready to go out in the field to learn more about what the RC&D has done in the surrounding nine counties. Tiffany and Lauren visited dry fire hydrant sites, Litton Agri Science Center, a wetland site and also the AMS Building in Trenton. Lauren said she was glad to have this experience, she now understands the impact that the RC&D has in the Green Hills.
Trevor Corzette, grandson of Debbie Gudgell (SWCD employee) spent the day in the office. He got to see how close his grandma works with landowners. Trevor realized how important farmers are to the world.
