Missouri Association of RC&D/RC&D Councils Teleconference

Those Council members participating in the teleconference:

Steve Radcliff stated that an invoice had been received for hosting of the Missouri Association and all Council websites through CI Hosting. The invoice is for the dates of 3/23/09 – 3/23/2011 and for the amount of $408.  CI Hosting was contacted amount lower packages.  CI Host has a new package that has more storage and space for $285.84 and was told that this could be changed instantly with no interruption to service.

The Missouri Association was approached with 2 proposals for web designing.

DJ Case wanting to submit a proposal for web design –

Complete redesign of website -$1500 (there was a typo and it was really $15000)

            Move all information and hosting over to them - $800

            Maintain and update website - $95 an hour

Bar JD Communications wanting to submit a proposal for web design –

            Complete redesign of website - $2000.00

            Move all hosting - $100.00

            Hosting for one year - $120.00

            Maintain and update website - $30.00 an hour

Steve opened it up for discussion.  Floyd Clark asked if there was a need to continue with a website.  With comments from Linda and Marie saying that as a regular business expense for two years is very reasonable.  Linda stated that the Association should be able to pay the full amount through regular business expense.  With some discussion a motion was made by Linda Bray for the Association to continue with CI Hosting and pay the $285.84 for the two years.  Motion was seconded by Marie.

 Steve mentioned that the 2009 National Conference - Albuquerque, NM - June 14-17, is approaching and registration needs to be made.  The Doubletree Hotel is completely booked and not for sure about availability at the Hilton.  Bob Ball will keep the coordinators updated on the budget to attend the conference.  Steve mentioned that George Engelback had a heart attack and will get out of the hospital Thursday or Friday.

 Marie asked if a budget had been passed.  Steve said that a budget had been approved at the last meeting.  Floyd mentioned that the Fall meeting will be hosted by the Top of the Ozarks RC&D and would be September 28-29 at the Rock Bridge Trout Park.  More details will be sent out at a later date.  The room rates are $89, Bob will see if that cost will be approved for that area.  Teleconference ended at 1:25 p.m.
