National Association of Resource Conservation & Development
Awards Process
Why apply for a National Award?
The NARC&DC Awards will provide you and your council with National recognition for a quality program and volunteer participation leading to the betterment of the RC&D Program. Recognition will be based on merit and will provide you with the satisfaction that your program is succeeding in delivering an effective RC&D Program. While everyone is a winner, winning the National Award will help your council increase your ability to attract new volunteers, new funding, and business and /or civic partners.
Winners will be presented at the NARC&DC Leadership Forum in February 2009 and recognized at the 2009 National Conference and their submission may be posted on the National Associations Website.

Eligibility
To be eligible, the nomination and nominee must come from a dues paying member of the National Association and be submitted by that Council’s Regional President using a regionally approved awards process. Remember, the Regional President can only submit one nomination per category to the National Office.
How To Apply*
An independent panel of judges from the public, private and governmental sectors will select the winner from each category.
All national nominees (Regional Award Winners) will be recognized with a Distinguished Service Certificate.
Winners will be seated at the head table for the Leadership Banquet and other award nominees will have reserved seating for the banquet.
Nominations should be derived from a regional awards process. Your Regional Association President will then submit one nomination for each category to the National Association of RC&D Councils for judging.
* All submissions become the property of the National Association of RC&D Councils. All or part of the submissions may be reprinted, modified, or posted on the National Association of RC&D Council’s Website or other publications without compensation
